Diorama Arts And Crafts

Remember the time when you had to bring a shoebox to school for a craft project? I do and I recall wondering what on earth we could and would be making from a box. I was so excited when I learned what a diorama was and that we were going to make one.

The diorama we made was a little different than the one shown here. We had to cut a square out of one side, glued figures and other items inside the box and closed the lid.

From the outside it still looked like an ordinary box, but the inside held a magical view and told a cute story.

The items we used were given by Mother Nature or cut out of magazines and glued onto cardboard.

Nowadays, you can buy the most wonderful figurines, supplies, and anything else you would want or need online or in craft stores.

There is inspiration galore and you can find plenty of examples, ideas, and tutorials right at your fingertips.

You are not entitled to keep the lid on the box. Many dioramas don't even have a use for it, but you most certainly can incorporate it in your project.

How? By thinking outside the box!
